A new survey by the Association of Compliance Officers in Ireland (ACOI) has revealed how important business continuity planning has been in helping Irish businesses respond effectively to the COVID pandemic and stay afloat over the last few months.
It found that 91% of organisations say business continuity plans have been a success during the pandemic. Some 37% of businesses are working on revised continuity strategies in case of "second wave", while 68% of compliance professionals say demand on their skills has been greater in recent months, the survey revealed. The survey of 600 of ACOI's members, many of whom are compliance leaders in large financial organsiations around the country, sought to gain insight into the effectiveness of such strategies in helping businesses prepare for and stave off the worse of such a crisis.
