Webinars and CPD events: each month, we run a varied range of live webinars and CPD events based on the needs of our members. These practitioner-focused sessions delivered by industry experts, examine relevant matters of interest to those working in the compliance, risk, regulation and finance sectors. After attending one of our webinars, not only will your industry knowledge be enhanced, you will also be eligible to claim CPD Credits which can be used to maintain your ACOI and/or other designation(s). ACOI Workshops

Workshops: these highly interactive, in-person sessions are led by compliance industry leaders. During our workshops, you will hear about the latest industry developments and advancements and have an opportunity to carry out practical work, putting what you have learned into practice. Our workshops are capped at smaller numbers to allow for greater interaction between you and your workshop leader. The workshops also provide an excellent opportunity to meet and build connections with industry peers.

  ICQ magazine : the ACOI is the trusted voice of compliance in Ireland. Irish Compliance Quarterly, ACOI’s quarterly magazine, is an extremely valuable resource to those working and studying in the area of compliance, risk, regulation and finance.

 

The magazine, which is released quarterly, provides readers with key insights and guidance on all the latest industry developments. The ICQ features relevant articles from subject matter experts. ACOI Networking opportunities

Networking opportunities: ACOI’s range of networking opportunities focus on bringing the compliance community together and facilitates effective networking  and helps you  build a contact base that can support you in your role and career.

 

In the past, we have hosted a range of networking events, including leadership and career development workshops. Due to the Covid-19, our events are currently hosted online, which we have found has enhanced our ability to bring together our members to network, connect, and converse.

Annual Conference: ACOI’s Annual Conference is the primary educational and networking event for compliance professionals. This event is a highlight in the compliance calendar and attracts a wide range of participants from across the compliance community. The conference brings together leading industry expert speakers to discuss current issues and challenges facing the profession and includes thought-provoking and informative presentations, keynote talks and panel discussions from prominent industry experts.

IFCA

International Networking

ACOI is a founding member of IFCA (International Federation of Compliance Associations). IFCA is an umbrella organisation for professional bodies that specialise in the practice of compliance. Membership comprises of national compliance bodies from around the world that have been established for the benefit of their members.

IFCA held their inaugural Congress in 2020 and the 2nd International Compliance Congress will be held in October 2021. This virtual congress will run over five days with a variety of presentations, interviews, and panel discussions from 12 member institutes, connecting 5 continents through compliance. ENFCO

ACOI is also a member of ENFCO (European Network for Compliance Professionals). ENFCO is a network of not-for-profit associations for in-house compliance professionals across Europe. The organisation facilitates the cooperation and communication between the participating associations and their incorporated professionals in the best spirit of a European Community, according to the network’s mission goals.

Being part of ACOI means you are part of a diverse global network of compliance professionals. Throughout the year, members are invited to attend events hosted by these organisations, providing you with the opportunity to learn from and connect with compliance professionals and industry leaders from around the world.

ACOI Referral Service

Referral Service: as the leading organisation for compliance professionals in the country, ACOI receives requests periodically from employers looking to fill positions in the compliance or data protection sector. Our members can request to be added to either the Professional Compliance Register or Data Protection Officer Register by completing and returning the relevant forms to [email protected] The details of these roles will be sent to you to review, and you can then apply directly to the company.
